APALA-DC Bids Farewell to a Dedicated Member and Friend

APALA-DC would like to bid farewell to one of its most active members, John Vu. John has been a loyal member of the organization for the past few years. From sitting on the National Executive Board to serving as the Development Consultant to APALA National and being one of the DC chapter’s most lively members on the 2010 board – John has done it all. He was a key figure in helping us organize our first ever Workers’ Right Hearing back in May. He also served as elections committee chairman this year as he single handedly pulled off the most organized election in APALA-DC history! He has been a fundraising guru, logistical master and an overall amazing friend.

John will be starting the next chapter of his life in January as he moves to China for 5 years to work for the U.S State Department. We would like to wish him the best of luck. We will miss a dedicated member, a strong advocate for APA workers’ rights and wonderful friend.

Cheers,

from your APALA-DC family
